A 2% raise (or none at all, some years) is pretty common, especially if your compensation is heavily commission-based or tied to hitting aggressive targets, but most companies in sales are budgeting for average pay increases of about 3.5% for 2025
We've been stuck in the low single digits since I've been working here. There's always some vague rumored expectation that things could improve in that regard, but I'll believe it when I see it. Something I've learned in adulthood is that management never wants to hear about someone's cost of living.
I've received 3% each of the two years I've been here. At my old company, it was as low as 2% and as "high" (lol) as 5%. 8% sounds too good to be true.
