I once had to facilitate the clean-out and subsequent sale of the estate of what I’m going to call a high-end hoarder. This included finding an expert to appraise rare taxidermied animals. That was an interesting one. I’ve also had to coordinate getting all sorts of weird things into courthouses for trials including (1) a motorcycle (2) a twin-sized mattress (3) a six-foot section of decorative fencing and (4) various components of an AR-15 rifle (that one was super fun).
The case where the tenant was evicted and left behind a mule….and then turned around and sued the mule for mold and habitation issues. SUED THE MULE. Discovery was a hoot! Sending unverified responses was fun, because a mule can’t sign a document. And confirming the interpreter for the depo? Plaintiff moved to compel.
But it was the Demand for Inspection and Destructive Testing that made it one for the history books.
Carry a chair to court.
The bounce house one made me lol. I don't think I have anything too crazy, mostly just a lot of routine paperwork. I did have a lawyer who treated me like a personal assistant, though, and wanted me to do things like pick up coffee and dry cleaning.
