I received an offer (28 Lakhs + 3.9 Lakhs incentive) from Novartis for Sr Project Manager yesterday. This was just 13.6% more than my current earnings as Project Manager. I've given the reasons why I deserve at least 30% to HR. In response to that, HR has sent 2nd offer i.e. 29 Lakhs + 4 Lakhs incentive + 50k sign-on bonus. The 2nd offer is just 18.2% higher than my current earnings. Need your suggestion, if I could still negotiate with HR to finalize deal by asking for 25% hike?

This is for Deloitte people, I got the letter of intent and was waiting for the offer letter, it's been a week and today I received a call from HR saying that the offer letter is delayed because of technical issues and she told me not to put papers yet in my current organization as the date of joining will be around 2nd week of January, I'm getting anxious whether I'll get the offer or not.. please let me know

I think this generation has finally understood that it's not worth preparing for govt jobs like UPSC, RBI, SEBI, SSC job, even state PCS.

Earlier they used to sacrifice important 3-4-5 yrs for such jobs but now people want to work more in Corporate rather than wasting their lives for such govt jobs which doesn't even have any significant future as compared to an IT job.

Is this true or people are still running after these govt jobs? I can see the mindset shift from Govt to Corporate jobs.

How to tell the manager during resignation that the role no longer interests me and I want to try something new for which I got the offer even though it's been 4 months since I started my new job and my overall experience revolves around my current role.

I have attended interview in TCS and cleared the interview. I am waiting for the discussion with HR.

At present I am drawing INR 12 Lakhs with 6 years experience. My current role is Oracle Apps Technical Developer. Earlier to CTS I was working with Infosys.

I would like to know how much Hike % I can negotiate with TCS? I am thinking about 70-80%. Is it fine?

My elder brother (2 year elder) and jobless from 8 years (don't want to do anything just sleep all day - he is also a software engineer).

I have to take care of his everything thing which includes his health insurance, his clothes, his daily foods, and other basic things. If i don't do then my mother is getting angry. Also, he Don't respect me and bad mouth about me with our relatives that i am not doing anything for him.
