Wake up around 6:15 a.m. Help my elderly mother get ready for her adult daycare- bathroom, shower, medication, food, getting dressed. After the bus picks her up, I go to the gym. Get home, take a shower, eat breakfast/drink coffee/start my workday.

Alarm rings at 6, wake up at 8:25 for my first call. Never losing hope.

3am up with my youngest, feed and get him back to sleep, clean, workout, shower, read for 45mins, eat, check emails, work.

For the record, I do not willingly wake-up at 3am if I do not have to. I usually wake up at 4:30am.

Wake up at 7, walk the dog 715-745, shower, make a latte, read/listen to podcasts/browse Reddit/fishbowl 8 - 9, sign on at 9

If I’m wfh, wake up at 0830 for 0845 call

30 minutes before my first meeting - usually 8am. Not sure what I would do if I wasn't work from home. USED to get up at 530 am to make it to a train at 630am, ride 1.5 hours, get to work by 830-9am, leave work around 430-5, get on the 520pm train, ride 1.5 hours and get home around 730-8pm. That life sucked. Work from home is the only way I will go from now on.

WFH days:
6:50 snooze alarm (procrastination comes first)
7:30 - 8:00 make coffee, hygiene, take dog out
8:00 log on, hope for uninterrupted breakfast
8:30 try to focus and not clean the house
12:00 forget to take a lunch

Travel days
4:30 snooze, of course
5:30 drive to airport
6:00 sprint to gate (weekly cardio)
6:15 board just in time
6:45 read emails, project documentation, etc
10-12 arrive at client site

On-site days
5:30 don’t snooze, why would anyone do that
6:45 wake up after snoozing and shower
7:00 drive to client site and grab Starbucks on the way in

5 am: gym; back by 7am and hotting home offfice till 5:30pm. Loving it all

Morning routine of a freelancer not on a project right now:
8ish wake up
8-9:30 lounge in bed, watch local news/phone time
9:30-10 shower/dress
10-12 coffee, breakfast, reading

Most days: up at 6, at the gym by 6:30, home and in the shower by 7:30, then online by 8. If I don't go to the gym, up at 7:15 and online by 8:30

Wake up 6.30, 15min breathing and thinking, shower and breakfast.
Take kids to school and rocking at 8.30

Yes, it’s here.

like

5:40am - alarm
5:50am - out of bed
6:00am - business news and coffee
6:10am - sh!t, shower, & shave
7:00am - business news and coffee
7:10am - work computer

I like to feel like I know what is going on in the world before going to work and being able to get some work done before everyone else logs in for the day. I used to be a morning worker-outer, but now go after work instead so I can have the peace/productivity of the mornings.

Wake up at 8 stay in bed till 9:30

Not following strict schedule, but more or less this is my every day:

6.00AM wake-up + either go for run/gym/read non-fiction book
6.30AM empty dishwasher, prepare breakfast for the whole family, washing machines & dryer (these are somehow my meditation activities to clear my head)
7.00AM shower and get dressed
7.30AM breakfast with the family + play/talk with kids before school
(best way to start your day feeling energized)
8.30AM start work until 6PM
6.00PM go for walk with wife, manage personal topics
7.00PM prepare dinner with wife (one or the other)
7.30PM dinner with family
8PM shower of baby
8.30PM kids in bed + bedtime stories
9.00PM follow-up on critical work topics (email/actions) + "marital activities"
10PM watch some fun/comedy show wife for 15min max + sleep

Thanks :D

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
