Closed on an apartment recently and the bank just contacted me saying they lost my closing package. They’re asking me to go back in and resign all the documents. What recourse do I have? Sorry if this type of post/question isn’t allowed!

You still want the apartment, you need to sign again. Don’t think there’s any practical recourse unfortunately but I get that it’s super unprofessional and irritating. But yell at them, demand they give you a closing credit for the hassle (probably will be unsuccessful), blast them on social media if you’d like.

I’d recommend they send you everything and have your real estate attorney CONFIRM no changes have been made to the best of their ability and that you are safe to resign. If attorney requires a fee for this, the lender should be the one paying it.

I wouldn’t “blast” them on social media. We are adults and adults don’t have hissy fits for everyone to see. This will only reflect badly on you in my humble opinion. However, asking for a credit from them for the hassle is not a bad idea. They would appreciate your cooperation and you would get a small treat as a thank you.

I’d probably talk to your real estate agent and maybe attorney...

There is always a form that you sign that says if mistakes are made you will make reasonable efforts to fix it. Even if they don’t have the paper to did sign that.

Stay calm and recognize that mistakes happen. Get some responsible written certification from an official at the Lender regarding the lost Note. If the missing documents are located, you do not want 2 duplicate original Promissory Notes, each of which is proof of debt, outstanding against you without the lost note certification or affidavit as part of the loan package. Keep paper and electronic copies if every communication and document involved. Duplicate original copies of the rest of the loan documents is not as concerning as the Promissory Note.

I need some career guidance.
I have 6+ yoe in business intelligence(Qlik), SQL. Self taught python up to oops/pandas/re.
What's the best direction to take my career forward and transition into a better domain if possible?
Should I do some DS/ML or cloud(azure/gcp) courses? If yes, suggest some.

Can someone guide?

Would you say Austin’s real estate market will go through a correction in 2022? I am considering there in a few months (wife and 3 kids) from a normal-priced city. While we can afford a house there, I am scared of getting into an extremely risky investment seeing such fast growing prices in 2021. I’ve read both bull and bear scenarios online and I’d like to get some “Bowl’s” thoughts. Thanks!

I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home.
