What’s your usual years of experience requirements for a Sr. Account Executive?

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role. Can anyone provide any advice, or has anyone successfully moved away from sales?

Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus. I'm not good at my tech stack. I've somehow managed to perform all my tasks without any escalation/blunders but that also by some help/googling.
I also managed to switch from an Indian mnc to a reputed company and now also somehow cleared a FAANG interview,but i know I'm not much knowledgeable in my tech .

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig? I left the last place because it was overr toxic and terrible W/L balance, for one that seemed to be more “fun” and more realistic hours, only to find that I’ve now been working 12 -14 hours a day and just drowning and feeling like I cannot catch up or catch my breath. For those of you in healthcare related account management, what is your healthcare background? I am clinical and getting ready to hire a higher level account manager. I am really biased toward people with clinical/in hospital experience because, quite frankly, healthcare is a different beast - lots of hand holding and change management. I don’t want to miss the right person because of my bias, so im wondering how many healthcare related AMs have healthcare/clinical experience… thanks in advance!

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Definitely not ready to go back to that….

How long do you spend on monthly reporting for your clients?
My 3-person team spends about 15+ hours a month each writing monthly reports for our clients (99 small retainer clients). We’ve received feedback that they’re too complicated and the clients just want to know - are we on the right track, what action items are there, and what any next steps are in their strategy.
How do you simplify without losing value?

Just moved up to SMB AM and I’m curious to the enterprise reps— what’s the quickest way to move up segment? A lot of people I see it’s 5+ YOE just curious if you can segment hop or if it’s a time situation.

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.

Anyone know what the current atmosphere is like in McCann New York after they lost one of their biggest clients, U.S. Army? Does losing such a client deteriorate an agency’s culture/career prospects?

Trying to figure out from a client relations perspective how much I need to be fluent in Google Analytics and the planning and buying process of paid media: social and search.
I want to be more fluent and speak eloquently about it so that I am well rounded in my role.
My current position doesn't allow for any hands on experience. Any advice would be appreciated in terms of how to gain the experience or course recommendations.

Any Type B people in account? The teams I’ve worked with have primarily been Type A people. As a Type B person, it’s stressful for me and makes me feel bad for being Type B.
