When applying for a role online using a company’s portal, do folks actually fill out the work experience section manually if the system is not picking it up from the resume directly? I found it to be time-consuming and a big hassle to add each experience manually. At this point, I am not even sure if the recruiters are looking at this section and should it even be filled out because technically one can submit the application without filling it. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful!

Rising senior here. Interviewed for McK today and my parents (who I’ve tried to explain the importance of these interviews to) burst into my room in the middle asking me to do a task, right in front of the interviewer, and spent a minute arguing with me when I said I couldn’t. Just found out I didn’t move on to the next round and while I’m sure some of it was my performance, hard to not just be absolutely livid with my parents here who still don’t get it. Sorry, just wanted to vent.
