Rising senior here. Interviewed for McK today and my parents (who I’ve tried to explain the importance of these interviews to) burst into my room in the middle asking me to do a task, right in front of the interviewer, and spent a minute arguing with me when I said I couldn’t. Just found out I didn’t move on to the next round and while I’m sure some of it was my performance, hard to not just be absolutely livid with my parents here who still don’t get it. Sorry, just wanted to vent.

If an otherwise good interview the interviewer says: “I think you have great experience that will help you wherever you go”. Should I be reading into this?

Not a sales based question but have a second interview for TierPoint Inc. they are an IT company and this is a manager of operations role. Their clients have some big names but I work for a global company that’s massive.

Does anyone know if their companies use them for managed services/cloud etc and is this a well known company that is rated well to use and work with?

I’m doing second round interviews with Deloitte but also interviewing with three other companies. If I get an offer from Deloitte, how long can I put off making a decision in order to finish the interview process with the other companies? Is this generally frowned upon?

Hi fishes, I have recently attended an interview with Accenture India Accenture couple of days back and can see the candidature status is on hold after my 1st round of interview. Does this mean that they are waiting for others to complete their interview or am I rejected? If not ,how many days they tak appxm to make a decision. I haven't received offer letter even after waiting for more than 16 days, i have given more than 10 interviews till now and have 4 offers but this one is taking a lot time giving a high rise to my expectations but am losing hope from this..can anyone suggest how much time usually it takes to roll out letter...please.

How do you approach a firm recruiting you when you weren't looking to move? It would be similar work, but I could negotiate a significant salary boost which would help my family reach financial goals faster. I like everything about my firm, but the pay is on the low side. I've never interviewed when I wasn't eager to leave my current job, and I'm uncertain how to discuss that with the recruiter & interviewer. I want to leverage it, but don't want to sound greedy.

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay. Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

I recently received the job offer and the title doesn’t match the job description I applied for (it doesn’t have the word “trader”), though they insist that job responsibilities haven’t changed. Question for those who have been in consulting longer than I am. I joined AP last year and love everything about the firm. WMP reached out to me earlier this year about their opening and I wondered if I should go ahead with the call.
