It could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months. Sometimes they seem to decide no replacement is needed, and the work gets dispersed among the team.
Sometimes it seems like they don't replace people at all. If somebody's gone, that position is just gone and absorbed by others. Sometimes I see it takes a few weeks, other times it takes a few months. Especially for management and senior-level positions.

It takes months to find a replacement because of HR , recently they haven’t even been replacing people because of the funding or they make it a part time position to cut the cost.
