Many places, all of the time. Most agencies are not set up for employees, and they rarely practice what they preach. They will discard you without a second thought, so treat them accordingly. That goes for so-called independent agencies as well as holding company agencies.
After a year+ of just being grateful to have a job, people are fed up and ready to work somewhere that actually values them, pays them, and respects them. Post pandemic boom of employees leaving is just starting, I expect more to come once people have to go back in Summer/Fall.
Yes, and the reality of what an unfulfilling grind our industry can be is hitting hard with all of the return to the office messaging as well. I’d expect lots of turnover to other industries and people leaving agency life. It’s unsustainable and agencies have only continued to prove that people are expendable commodities.

Ogilvy

Yes, Ogilvy. They can’t beg people to stay.
I’m excited about the changes in leadership and the direction that we’re going. It takes time to see change, so give it a chance.
RPA
Better opportunities and a lot of people have been there for years. I’m sure that led to a domino effect as well.
You tell us.
