Where is the real money at? I have SWE (non Salesforce) friends that are making 400k TC. It seems the average architect only makes 200k. For the level of responsibility, that's almost pitiful... I have SWE friends who are individual contributors that make that. I'm a senior Salesforce developer making 150k in NYC. What's my ceiling as a dev?

Has anyone made the move from US to Europe and kept or increased their current salary? From all anecdotal evidence I've heard, you lose money moving there.

Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.

I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?
