I work in the transaction opinions group at Kroll (formerly duff and phelps). Yes, I was hired specifically for my role. We advise boards of directors in all types of transactions - spin-offs, go-privates, take public, dividend recaps, etc. We are FINRA licensed (series 79 & 63). We issue fairness opinions/solvency opinions/general board advisory valuation work, and other things. Our investment bank is comprised of transaction opinions and mid-market M&A.

Not sure about other PA firms, but here I’ve done fairness work, PPAs, goodwill impairments, kinda the whole gamut. Big4 may have more specialization but for us the BVAL practice does it all

Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
