Job has up to 80% travel PwC
How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?
I have an offer with PWC and have a family. I would prefer to be with my family.

I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?

Ritz is great if you get the room with marina bay sands view - you wont get points though. JW is okay, lounge was meh and relatively small room but fantastic breakfast buffet.
Not sure what kind of agreement they have with marriott, just go ahead and check the hotel description on your bonvoy app. They couldn’t give me points the last time i stayed there so they upgraded me to the room with MBS view
I found a good deal at Le Meridien Sentosa a few weeks ago. Beaches in walking distance and not too far from downtown 🤷♀️
I just stayed at the JW and loved it. Agree with EY1 - the breakfast was pretty fantastic.
W is good for relaxing/pool time. Breakfast is average and pretty far out in Sentosa.
JW has a great buffet and with the right room (upgrade) there’s nothing to complain about.
Stayed at the St. Regis on a project for a few weeks. Can absolutely recommend it - but it is not close to the beach.
Okay, so between the JW and the St Regis, which location would be best for a first-time visitor? I know Orchard has a bit of a nightlife scene, but the views of Marina Bay from the JW look awesome.
Both look incredible so I’m having a hard time deciding. Anyone have any ideas?
