None of the above. 🤮
I agree with all comments saying avoid LB-- your sanity is worth more than $
The following is my opinion. It's a toxic culture and work environment. There are a couple of good people here and there, but working with some of the partners in charge of practice groups could have you on the edge of a nervous breakdown. It's not even the work--the work is easy--it's working with certain people who have absolutely no respect for others that is ultimately horrible for your quality of life. The people in charge seem to know about these partners who are problematic to the level of it being actionable, and do absolutely nothing. Unless you're desperate to work there for some reason, I would avoid it like the plague. If you're desperate, take the job but have a foot out the door at all times. You've been warned by the universe. The foregoing is, all, of course, just in my opinion.
Gr will pay your more if you ask
Omg, neither!!
I can't speak to LB, but I have been at GRSM for nearly 6 years. I haven't seen the same kind of flexibility at other firms that GRSM provides. I can work remotely, I can try different areas of practice, and, on the one and only one occasion I had cases with a really unpleasant partner, I was able to just go work for others. GRSM also has a mentorship program for its associates.
GR but think twice about ID
I was an ADA for the first 4 years of my career. I’d love to go back but I can’t afford to make so little (single, living in NYC)
I was an ID litigation paralegal at GR for 18 hellish months. Reviews vary based on the local office management. I was in a mid-Atlantic office that was toxic. I want to tell you to run from GR as fast as you can, but I have no experience with the alternative.
LB will also pay more if you negotiate. I suggest getting more info from associates in the NYC office about office vibe bc that varies significantly office to office
