After successful technical interview with IBM India, approximately after how many days will they take to call us like for HR round and salary negotiations? My YOE is 11 and currently have an offer of 24. How much can I ask to IBM? Tech stack: JavaScript Node React Etc.,IBM Consulting IBM
Would I know if I’m eligible for a bonus?
I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

Public accounting has way too short an average employment time to take that deal. They pulled a fast one on you. Think of it this way, they paid some actuaries to come up with a new system that is profitable for the company and then they sold it to you like a life insurance salesman.
@EY5. I'll ask what everyone here is thinking. What firm do you work for?
It's been a long and exhausting 2 weeks since I made that election. Only 155 more weeks to go to earn that $.
At least you got one. We were told there's no issues with turnover. Not a single firstyear, exp. associate or senior available and it's only October. Going to be a rough busy season.
EY seniors had an option this year to either take the $5K bonus or bank it for three years and get $25K
They don't have to... they chose to... I wouldn't have done it honestly if I had the option.
Me! 🙋🏻♀️
I left EY for a CPA firm that pays base salary >20% above big 4. We get overtime if we work over 45 hours a week, travel bonuses up to 25% of base salary if we travel, profit sharing since there aren't a million partners to take all of the profits, and you get 3% of the client fees if you're on a client longer than 3 months. Plus, audit is optional. You can work in M&A, CFO advisory, treasury, reporting, etc. I'd never have those experiences staying at EY. Oh, and our trainings are in Vegas, not Secaucus.
@EY6 sounds like Siegfried Group
^^ for those who want to do PP&E reconciliations for 6 months, sure
What's funny is that pwc and EYhave hired us to help them during busy season because they cant keep talent. So our resources end up doing the same work alongside EY/pwcers but making 50% more.
That sounds dumb
You have to commit for 3 years to get your bonus ?
Yes. Before I was confident I would be here in three years but now it feels like I'm a little trapped
I made the extra 20k by leaving
For what it’s worth - I’ve work along side a number of Siegfried folks hired as temp staff at EY - they were all beyond miserable and have all since left Siegfried. Used to plug thankless holes on the worst audits we had (the kind that always cause retention issues) after being promised the “sexy” consulting type work 5 is talking about above. Be very very very cautious about joining them.
Clearly uninformed, M1. The EY projects are optional so no one was lured in with sexy projects and then pushed off onto EY. They chose to take those projects because the extra incentives EY offers means they were making 2x what you were for doing the same job. They were miserable because they were auditing again. And then they were able to quit with their fat nest egg. I know someone who did a busy season posing as an EYer and made enough to quit and start their own insurance company.
And if you take the $5k money now what is the manager bonus later?
Wtf, 3 years??
I got a 10k signing bonus with EY and only have to stay one year, after that I can leave and not repay anything
For those at other firms - you can either take a $5k senior promo bonus or bank it and get $25k when you make manager. New this year
