I'd pick scenario 2
Isn’t non profit orgs getting their funding slashed? I’d stay away from that.

Based on this current job market, I would choose scenario 1 and then still continue looking for opportunities while you build on skills in your non profit role. Gotta hang on to what you can find at the moment and hopefully still have the time to do things on the side to work towards what you want
For me, it's a no-brainer to go with option 1. But I've been scarred by big agencies, so I'm probably biased. My experience in a big agency was less creative direction and being fed the crap projects no one wanted to take on.
It’s true, and super competitive out there especially with the creative roles shrinking in the market
I’m in scenario 2 and would like to stay here until I’m too tired to keep up, and then I’d like to move to a scenario 1 and just coast.
Will it be tough to pivot back to Scenario 2 if one were to take up Scenario 1 first due to the current job market?
