Why are head hunters reaching out to me with middle market investment banking/consulting roles when I am in audit? Not even a CPA. They claim they hire auditors from big four and train them from ground up. Would I be stupid not to ask for more information? Or don’t waste my time. Senior in audit. Thx.

Same ^

They know you have client service experience and can teach you the rest. Fairly common to get hit up for service lines outside your current scope.

True but I understand like FPA roles or analysts, IA, consulting stuff like that but a MM IB? Idk was surprised. Believe it or not one of them is offering same base salary as I am right now. It’s just the bonus is waaaaay higher. But I thought IB associates make a high base. Guess not MM

Would this happen to be a firm based in Illinois?

Interesting. Sounds very close to a pitch I got from a boutique firm recently.
