Why are vendor specific skills paid more than generalist/GRC/manager skills? Is it just the demand in the market?

For example, Sailpoint Engineers I know are making bank. Most compliance-focused managers make ~100K.

What will be in-hand salary for 43L base component.

Do tech consultants make market rates? Maybe my perception is a bit warped because I’m getting paid 85k 3.5 YOE. Jumping to industry as a software engineer and will make 165k. Are consulting companies just shafting tech folks?

But the HR is saying they can offer only 36% hike.

CCTC : 12 LPA fixed.
