This is very interesting to me. I haven't seen brands make any sort of move towards short-form. I guess you would have to clarify what you consider short-form?
Great point! When I say short-form, I mean videos between **5–30 seconds** like Reels, TikToks, and Shorts.
For fashion brands, it’s less about explaining and more about **showing the product in action**—movement, fit, and vibe.
That’s where strong editing makes the difference 👀
Short vids lend themselves to strong visuals that make an immediate impact, so that's ideal for fashion brands. It's something where you needn't explain anything, just show it. I don't know how to answer if brands are investing enough in short-form video. There's so much of it happening that one could ask if perhaps it's becoming oversaturated.
Exactly 💯 Fashion is visual-first, so short-form works perfectly.
But I think the real gap isn’t whether brands are posting—it’s **how they’re editing**.
Most brands post content, but without **high-retention editing, storytelling, and hooks**, it gets lost in the feed.
That’s where strategy + editing can turn simple clips into content that actually drives engagement and sales 🚀
Attention span has been ruined by short form
True—but platforms didn’t change attention span randomly.
They reward content that keeps people watching.
So the real skill now is **holding attention**, not just getting it—and that’s where good editing makes all the difference.
