Why there is no news/posts about abt verizon india layoff given the context that there were close to 1000+ ppl impacted.I haven't seen any posts sharing about the info in any of the social platforms except in this bowl.

Is it a good time to switch to Deloitte considering all the recent layoffs ? Applying for a manager position in Deloitte Digital , not expecting more than 10% hike from my current salary.

I’m currently in Deloitte’s cyber risk practice but my background and passion is in accounting and finance, and business operations. Graduated in 2017 so still early career.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞
