what is “pure-bred”? like Germany’s German people in 1933?
Lmfao where are the tears? And the hate? I’m amused more than anything else. You’re right, empires rise and fall. It is just baffling to me how many in the west think this behavior is extending their rule rather than accelerating their downfall given the current set of circumstances.
If this goes on, eventually another superpower will rise, and they’ll be able to look back and understand this attitude is in part what led to the fall of the previous one. Maybe they’ll learn from it, maybe they won’t. But it’s weird how angry some people get when this is pointed out.
Who knows, but it helps to remember that our current societal arrangement and norms don’t have to be the dominant ones. This type of society is clearly one that can’t propagate indefinitely. Either it goes or we all will.
Secondly, what makes you think it’s a western problem? Before the demographic collapse hits the « west », we’ll see it hit South Korea, Japan, and China. They have demographic structures far worse than US and most of Europe.
The issue isn’t race, it’s urbanization and this type of industrialization coupled with societal values that do not meaningfully support fertility and family formation. This type of demographic collapse is happening everyone that industrialized, including in Asia and in places in Africa. In these places, it’s happening even faster; they went from agrarian societies to post-industrial urbanized societies in the span of a couple generations. Europe and the US did it over a couple of centuries.
Agree with your first and second paragraphs. This current system isn’t sustainable in any part of the world, but the reason I focus on the West is because one would think having seen the examples of SK and Japan would inspire a different approach. Instead, westerners are actively embracing the same anti-immigration laws that in some way contributed to the rapid population crisis in those two countries.
There absolutely needs to be a separate solution. But the west, particularly the U.S, are not anywhere close to it. I just find it extremely amusing that they all seem to be cutting off the bit of extra time immigration gives them to solve this, and are instead choosing to go headlong into an unmitigated population crisis because of pride of all things. Can’t have cultural pride without a population to celebrate it.

What is with these Bizarre comments lately?
this is the US nowadays 🙄
It’s not about being “pure-bred.” Europe has built safe, democratic societies where men and women enjoy equal rights and mutual respect (with exceptions, of course). These values are the foundation of our way of life. If the population that upholds them becomes a minority, those foundations are at risk.
Many people emigrate from their own countries because they’re dissatisfied with the systems, cultures, or common behaviors there. The question is: do Europeans want to risk facing the same challenges here in the future?
This is not about race, it’s about values and cultural norms
Both India and China have fertility rates below replacement rate though. India reportedly has an average of 1.9 according to a UN report as of June 2024. China is between 1 and 1.2, significantly lower than the US at 1.6.
To provide an answer, putting aside whether it is an “impending disaster”, in the US, federal, state and local governments are allocating tax dollars to incentivize childbirth and child raising and support families through tax and other monetary incentives. Also, governments and institutions are adapting to the change in the labor pool and number of students enrolling for instance.
