My manager continues to ask me to help other teams and do work on other billable projects. I’m sick of it .. and I’m going to explicitly say that no I can’t do it because my hours are taken by the existing project we are doing. Is this appropriate?

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Any suggestions?

What do I do if I’ve only worked one job (the one I’m currently at) and another company is asking for references? I could do professors from college but not sure if that’s a good idea. I wish I could give my current manager’s contact but I don’t want her knowing :/

Last week team dynamics took a turn for the worst (even tho in each retro the team always commend each other, you would think team work is great). Hi. People Manager here. I've been one for 12 years now and I encourage my team to not be "yes" people. At this time, it feels like my manager wants me and my team to be yes people for her. How do I deal with this? I've never been a yes person and I don't preach this to my reports. I don't know what to do. Help?

I am seriously worried. I am doing my co-op and my supervisor is not giving me an easy time. I am trying to do my best even with very little direction and this supervisor constantly harassing my about things like her not being able to use google meet or to remember passwords. I feel bullied and very anxious. I am afraid she can jeopardize my visa with a bad evaluation. I have been working at midnight, on Sunday mornings but I am human, I make mistakes, she just blames me instead of teaching.

If an employee mentions something disparaging or accusatory about their manager during an exit interview, how would you handle? What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation? I.e. employee claimed the manager made a disparaging remark about an item of clothing being worn by someone in accordance with their beliefs. If you opt to share the feedback with the manager, would the manager have a legal case against the company or former employee?

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? My bosses boss a plagiarized an article of mine and I’m not sure what I should do. What would you do. An exec two levels above me took one of my published articles removed my name and posted it to a different site with the only changes being removing my name and adding theirs.
