Work in Markets (CBS) of EY GDS. I have 2 offers in hand, each with 50% hike. I don’t want to leave EY for those companies since those are smaller. How should I ask my supervisor to match my compensation with the offer I have in hand? Should I directly say that I want to resign unless you match the compensation? Or is there any alternative subtle way of conveying the message?

Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.
