Would be on rcl cruise , visiting nassau for a day. What beaches are safe, clean and have less hawkers. I just want to see natural beauty of beach, kids will be having enough water activities on cruise so not looking for any beach activities. Any recommendations on beach I could visit in 5-10 miles radius. How much taxi costs. What other kid friendly places I can go.Any tips for safe and hassle free travel in nassau. Want to wrap up by 2 PM and head back to cruise and relax.

So engineers can now automate the writing of basic code, and potentially more complex tasks, by using GPT-3.

For those who are technical: If machines can write code, how are you going to upskill? And what are the best ways make yourself indispensable?

I am not embracing the notion that you shouldn't have to code to do data science. However, I think coding may soon be much less of a competitive advantage.

I respect the solo a lot, he’s a mentor, but I’ve got kids and I gotta get paid. Trying not to burn bridges, but I can’t wait years to get cut in. Advice?

I’m interviewing at Google’s Treasury team. The role would be as a rates analyst managing their portfolio - primarily cash and short duration fixed income products (100bn aum). TC: ~150k, not sure of breakdown.

I currently work as a quant/middle office at a very well reputed mutual fund, but this is not a market facing role. TC: 125k, but they have a very generous profit sharing plan that contributes 25% of my pay to retirement accts if I stay for 6 years, so ~160k?

Any thoughts?

Hi everyone, I’m a 6th grade teacher who is thinking about teaching ESL in an adult school next year. The positions are usually part time, 9-12 hours per week. How is the workload? Will there be work that’s hidden under the required hours? For example, prep time, is it included within the paid hours? Thanks so much!
I appreciate anyone who takes the time to help me with my questions. 🙏
