I do feel a bit bad for the current job, because it costs them money to train. However, you have to do what's right for you. I probably wouldn't give up the current position until you are positive that you are in the new position. Do keep in mind though that you will be burning bridges by doing this.
I feel bad too. I wish they didn’t take so long to get back to me. But all in all. It’s just more sense for me. Money and transportation wise.
Not to worry too much. I’ve seen people come in for 1 training and then ghost me. I’ve also had people stay for 10 years. So most places are used to this. You’ll burn bridges so yes, definitely make sure the other job is 100%. Last thing you want is to not get both jobs.
Part 2: it sounds like I’m going to get the Thursday gig because they only wanna talk for like 5-10 mins I guess just to reconfirm some things. But idk I feel kinda guilty finishing training knowing I’m going to be going another direction if things go the way I want them too. I’n going to offer a two weeks anyway but I doubt they would want me to finish one at the where I’m training now. What do yall think? Just end it now or tell them on Thursday
I completely understand! I too prefer breakfast shifts! I wouldn't say unsavory, if the new position is a better fit, by all means do what's best for you but I'd make sure that job was a guarantee. Might as well continue the training just in case.
