My husband just did the same thing after 12 years with SSA. You need a skills based resume. Hire someone to write it if need be.

I feel you on this. I'm 20 years in and I should have left some time ago but my immediate colleagues have been great and the WLB suited me w/ young kids. Any luck w/ finding a job outside of gov't?

Looking for some career advice. I have an offer in hand (company a) that would give me a 30 K pay bump + title bump but just started interviewing at one or my target companies (company b). Company A is waiting for me to accept the offer and Company B is super interested but I need to complete two additional interview rounds that won't happen until January. Go with the option that I already have or risk losing this role to pursue a role that might be a better fit?

Anyone can share thoughts on prevailing wage? Lawyer recommends doing gc using senior title, as audit manager title currently is $200,000. Is this accurate ? Up for manager promotion this year. if wait for gc have to be in the senior position for another 2 years.
