I have an upcoming final round interview for an M&A role and I’m considering reaching out to someone on the broader M&A team thru LinkedIn (who I’m not interviewing with) to get a sense of the team and culture. If I were to get the job, this would be a peer of mine. I’m also hoping this may help me gain insights for the final round. Any chance reaching out to someone on the side could hurt my candidacy? Should I just wait until after the final round? FWIW, we do have a few shared connections.

Does anyone have any recommendations or attend a school that had good AFIT courses I should look into? (P.S. Definitely want to do it 100% remote)
