Feel like everytime I have a potential job the moment I interview face to face it all falls apart. Are there certain key mistakes you guys notice that detract from someone even if they have good work?

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't?
