The Answer is Yes.
I should clarify - both companies are remote. One pays $70 per patient seen for 53 minutes. You’re supposed to see 30 patients per week which would be $104,000 if there were no cancellations. So far I’ve made $84,000 because there are a lot of cancellations. The new company is offering me $85,000 which is less than the $104,000 but it’s guaranteed and if you go under 30 patients you still get the $85,000. So both are remote. One pays per session seen and one pays less but it’s guaranteed base and they expect you to see 30 clients. OHHH very important. The new company is only a 4 day workweek with 10 hours per day and three choices to pick from. So theoretically even though I’m making less money I could work at another company for one day part time and see 5 patients that day at $70 a pop and make an extra $1400 a month and that’s self employment. So I could actually make up the lower salary if I’m willing to work a 5th day which would be Fridays. Or do I just suck it up and be happy with $85k for a 4 day workweek. Oh and current company gives 4 weeks vacation and new one gives only 3 weeks vacation. Health benefits start the first day.
Where are these great paying social work jobs? I need one 🙋🏻♀️
Depends on the expectations and culture. Are they expecting you to see 30 clients a week which is billing 7.5 hours a day for a 4 day week. Are they going to hassle you if you don't meet that/ get lots of cancellations?
Some things to consider!
Absolutely. A guaranteed base salary is great. You can always negotiate salary in the future.
Definitely, plus think of all the time and money saved on not committing
Totally
