Any tips on how to deal with juniors who are really difficult to work with? Long story short, the juniors on my team think every deadline we give them is 'impossible to reach'. Maybe it's a generation gap thing, but we've had to do much more in much less time. I want to understand and work around their capacities but they're just being difficult on purpose. I'd kill to fire them all, if I'm being honest. Is there something that helped you straighten out a situation like this?

I feel like every time my copy team suggests something cool or out of the box it gets struck down. Any tips on how to get the green signal for unconventional ideas from the decision-makers?

Looks like Substack is a pretty solid way to make some money! Like any other platform, I'm sure that not everyone has this kind of success with it, but I was wondering - do you ever suggest starting a substack for any of the brands you work for? What do you think are the merits or the defects of a major brand having its own substack?

It took Jaguar a year to revamp their brand identity. Their new identity aims to present Jaguar not just as a luxury carmaker but as a forward-thinking brand that pushes boundaries. However, what 'Nothing' did here is pure genius 🤣. Bios really are the crucial first impression in the digital world! How do you think brands can leverage their bios to enhance their marketing strategies?

Haha this one is too real! Is music part of your culture at work? At our office, every morning we pick one person to take over the community speaker and they have to play music off of their playlist for the rest of the day. Sometimes, I just want to listen to my own but other days, it feels good to listen to new music and be introduced to artists I wouldn't have found on my own.

Is anyone on this LinkedIn group? Is it worth getting on? I already have a lot of clutter on my feed so I'm careful these days about what I subscribe to and who I follow. It's so quickly that LinkedIn can become yet another overstimulating social media app.

Don't know if it's time to elevate my pitching skills or if it's the lack of quality on the ideas itself but off late, our clients aren't too happy with the creative concepts we're presenting. Have you been in this situation before? What changes did you make to get over the hump?

Have you read any of these books? I've actually read them all but realized I can't pinpoint what my biggest takeaway or learning from any of them is. I need to make notes when I read, going forward. I wish this was all in my head but I can't help but think it's the industry's ageism working against me. I turned 50 today and for the last year, it has been a disaster trying to find a job. Turn 50 and you’re no longer considered part of the game. I guess they think we are too outdated and/or irrelevant to be part of the industry. Do you think this is true or do you have counterpoints?

I get this, but is it easy to be a freelancer? I think not. Would you rather be a freelance CD or an in-house CD? What do you think are the perks of either option apart from the obvious WLB?
