AlixPartners can you please share about the TC and WLB for new parents?
I'm approached by the AP recruiter and in the final interview process for an SVP role (digital practice).
Already have two other offers (Strategy @ Walmart, 300K TC, and Marketing@ Amazon, 220K TC). 10 YOE
1. Will AP's SVP TC be higher than $300K? What's the breakdown?
2. Would you choose AP over Strategy @ Walmart or Marketing @ Amazon?
3. How difficult is it for new parents? I still want to spend time with my newborn.
Am I the only one who is happy I got into IT?
I have 4 years of experience in development and unfortunately I had to switch multiple technologies almost every year. Jack of most trades master of none:(. To switch to a different organization, should I prepare DS Algo? Or should I prepare well in my domain based tech stack and become an expert in it? Which route should I take? And any optimal way/tips to prepare DSA as I am out of practice with it

I wish I had some skills. I can’t even wait tables.
I'm sure you've got what hiring managers call transferable skills. But the problem is that the skills you have probably can't be monetized as well as you're doing with them now. You can find work, no doubt, but you may be broke.
You’re not alone. I wouldn’t be surprised if the way you’re feeling is actually the norm.
I’m parallel pathing other creative endeavors and they don’t pay as well. It’s hard to be creative and make real money. Thinking back, that’s actually why I chose this job in the first place. But I didn’t realize it would suck so much of my soul.
I really want to do something else but I have no idea what. And with a crap market, I can’t seem to get anyone to notice me for what I’m good at, let alone take a chance on me for a different role because I have transferable skills.
