Entire fucking Ritz Carlton smells like cigarette smoke... how many points

Best SPG/Marriott in Bali. W Seminyak, Ritz Nusa Dua or St Regis? I love Seminyak and the W Resort is amazing. Debating...also best chance of getting upgraded/perks/etc.

Just looked at one of my credit card statements and saw nearly $2k in charges I didn’t recognize from the Ritz Carlton in Dallas. Called them and they said they were penalties for canceled cont.

SO (no SPG card) rec’d 125k targeted SPG luxury offer via snail mail. $5k / 3 months. Expires 12/7. Excludes current/former Marriott and Ritz cardholders. Mute on current SPG card holders.

Just saw another Amex offer on my SPG card (Amex app -> offers) for Marriott and Ritz - $60 back for $300 spend and $100 back for $500 respectively. Don’t think it has to be spent in one stay either.

Favorite SPG/Marriott full service brand out of these 5: W, Westin, Sheraton, Marriott, Renaissance, debating if I should include JW here... but not including St. Regis or Ritz... any why?

SPG/Marriott/Ritz-Carlton date is now 8/18 according to the websites...

Currently a tier 5 ritz is 70,000 per night, it will be category 8 in the future which is effective in 2019, but will be temporarily category 7 in 2018. So I can redeem it as 60,000 points, right?
