How do I get into a Courtyard?
Messaging from Fairfield inn
It’s not about brand it’s about cost. We have some wickedly competitive rates with Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons in certain cities, i.e.,for less than a typical Westin or Marriott.
For what it’s worth, a team I was on (cost cutting project) lost a lot of trust with the client when an associate mentioned how much she liked the water bottles at the St Regis
Used to regularly stay at the Ritz, we got the transient manager (responsible for business bookings) to give us a great rate that was better than the standard corporate discount at the nearby Courtyard. You just have to sell the hotel on the value of your team staying there and then negotiate - you know - consulting stuff
Ours, in many cases
It depends on nightly rate. I had stayed at the Waldorf Astoria suite with a nice fireplace for a reasonable Corporate price. Same at Ritz Carlton.
We can at Deloitte depending on project budget
Depends solely on cost, entire team stayed at the Ritz for almost one year straight
D is capped at $200? Where? Every city has a budget technically, but it is also dependent on project budget. I've stayed at the Ritz, I've stayed at the Aloft. Just depends. And I've never had a budget below $225 for a hotel (bc that is policy for Philly)
If it ain’t the Ritz I ain’t going, that’s all I’ll say
It’s based on city for Deloitte. I have been staying for $250 for past 6 months in midwest. Around $350 in west coast for 4 months on a prior project
All about the business sales manager...in the old SPG world they had full flexibility to set rates for individual project teams, probably still just depends on property
If it's in policy I'm booking it.
McK has generous room allowance ($500-600/night?)
Rates allowed vary by market, but Ritz is typically fine
A2 capped at 500
Yep @A2
D is capped at 200 I believe
Stayed at a Ritz two weeks ago in DC, it was cheaper than the Renaissance or Marriott and couldn’t understand why but I did
