What sorts of SQL questions are typically asked in interview questions for senior data analysis jobs? Like is knowing SQL from freecodecamp enough or should I look into taking a course online?

I’ve unfortunately not gotten the chance to use SQL in my current position so I don’t feel like I have enough experience in it, but have experience in everything else (Python, tableau, storytelling, etc)

Hello everyone,

I have 6 years of exp in IT
Recently I got offer from Amdocs, From, I was applying as a mssql developer,
In interview also they asked regarding sql concepts.

But I am not clear about the job profile,
As they just scheduled the interview directly and it happened.

Will after joining they will move me to any in house tech, or the job will be relevant with my profile only.

I mean i am switching only to work on good tech. Dont want to get stuck again in in-house technology.

Interviewed (1st round) at EY for an SC role (40% higher pay). Didn’t know SC was the same as C for Deloitte. Up for SC at Deloitte this summer - any room for negotiation with EY for M instead? Contd

I interviewed with Amazon previously and went far in the interviewing process. Unfortunately, I didn’t hit the mark with the behavioral interview portion. I was not told where my opportunities to improve are. Do you have any suggestions, classes, books, resources, etc to prepare and improve in future behavioral interviews?

Got an offer from a company with OK benefits. I am also in the interview process for another company with much better benefits, work culture, work-life balance and possibility 5-10k more pay. Should I wait it out to see how it goes or take the offer?

Recruiters, what are good questions to ask at the end of an interview, in particular to the hiring manager?

I have an interview for Spotify’s NYC marketing team next week. Role requires 8 years experience and is within their ad division. What’s a reasonable salary to ask? $150K?

I work in legacy tech now and they don’t pay competitively haha.

I’m a jr litigation associate with many years of tech work pre law school. A former coworker has offered to submit my resume for a legal role at her company (also tech) basically doing contract and privacy work as well as other tasks relevant to my former work life. My current resume is full of litigation experience from law school, since my resume is written for applying to lit positions. On the one hand, it bolsters my legal experience. On the other, it’s not relevant to this role. Do I cut?

Interviewing at Microsoft for a Senior Program Manager role. The recruiter said PMs at Microsoft are technical and some of the interviews will focus on technical questions/design problems. I haven’t faced any technical or design rounds earlier (in my prior industry interviews) - how should I best prepare for it? Any advice who interviewed in similar roles or are at the role at MS? Really want to nail it this time, thank you for the help!

Anyone in marketing at Goldman Sachs or Deloitte? I’m curious what your role is like. I’m seeing Marketing Analyst positions at both that I would be perfect for, but the company names are intimidating me since I only have 2 years experience and I work at a small company. Goldman Sachs Deloitte

Anyone have links to videos of students engaging in a successful Socratic seminar? Was hoping to show my students (middle school) a 3-4 min exemplar on how one might look at their age

Currently lying in bed sick with dread about going to work tomorrow. I have had such a heavy weight of anxiety on me lately. I realized that it was because the partners I work for do not give me any type of encouragement and are not afraid to be blunt and pick apart every legal argument I make, leaving me with no confidence. I am all for constructive feedback and criticism — I know what the legal profession expects — but my job makes me feel so stupid.

Hey Guys. Couple questions. I am looking to transition from SF to Fedex as an AE. TC is 130k roughly. Do you guys think this is the dumbest move ever? Im currently a BDR at SF with TC of about 80-85k.

Also if anyone has ever worked for Fedex Corporate Sales, which 3rd party company initiates the background? Thanks!!

Evaluating a lateral move from a boutique firm to PwC Strategy& as an associate (A3) aligned to the HIA vertical. Any insight on types of clients / projects? I would come in with health system experience and it seems like most of the existing posts/questions are payor related.

Once I get my H1B issued, how soon can I apply for a greencard and how long does the process take from application to receipt of the greencard? For reference, I’m born Canadian (I think birth country plays a factor in this?) and is it better to apply through my employer or apply on my own?

I'm brand new to consulting and the data science space. After over a year of self-study I landed a role as a data analyst and just under 3 weeks in I feel like I totally suck at this and wonder how I got hired. Major imposter syndrome vibes.

So my question is, has anyone else been in a similar situation where they made the switch into a tech field and felt some major imposter syndrome initially and what were some things you did to combat that feeling?

Thanks in advance!

Which would you take:

- stay at current industry FS F100 firm. Incredible support from leadership, super great WLB (30 hrs a week), potential promo
TC: $115k

- offer from top industry Tech firm (think Microsoft/Salesforce/FAANG). Doing the same work, but likely more hours, and unknown leadership support.
TC: $180k

Obviously the jump in TC is huge, but I really value WLB.

Any insight would be super helpful!
