I’ve been with EY for 6 yrs, am an Audit Manager (2nd yr as Manager), and CPA. I’m looking to get out of accounting but want to stay in business. I know nothing about M&A TAS but a friend who works at A&M in NYC office suggested it to me. I hear it pays well so it has caught my attention. Any advice for getting more info and details about what M&A entails and what the necessary skills are?

Assuming Nvidia interview takes 2 more weeks.
Is it okay if I accept qualcomm offer for nw and reject it later if Nvidia hires me.
Or without accepting qualcomm offer i need to inform same to qualcomm hr
What should I do?

one thing that really helped my anxiety situation is switching to decaf coffee. I know there’re a lot of decaf haters. But personally, I LOVE the taste of coffee but after 2 cups (and sometimes even just one cup) my mind will start racing and I’ll start worrying about literally everything. A friend of mine told me to quit caffeine and I listened. I was able to find delicious decaf coffee that taste just as good, I sleep better now, and have even better energy. ✌️

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

Closing on my first property, and my lawyer is completely useless, to the point where he delayed scheduling the closing (despite there being no issues on my end or the sellers, and despite me and the lender constantly asking him to do it) until the bank stepped in and threatened to undo the loan requiring me to reapply and lose the interest rate I had locked in. Is this common? I’m a lawyer myself, and would never have been so flippant about this sort of thing.

Sorry if this has been asked before but how much of a cushion do you guys keep in your checking account (relative to your net monthly income) every month?
