I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

I have a question about pricing. Some context to my upcoming question: My brother and I are starting a personal training business. I have six years military experience and he is still in the military. Collectively we have passed the hardest schools in the military and both love fitness and have experience building programs and are both certified personal trainers. From reading a number of books and listening to a number of podcasts about starting a business, one underlying factor they all share is to have deep passion for what you do. How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.

I am currently negotiating a compensation package and part of it includes stock options. What other information do I need to evaluate if the equity component is a good offer ? It’s a ~40 person company and I’ve received the the number of options, most recent valuation, and current strike price. I was also given a dollar range that I can “imagine” the share price would be (I think they were trying to help me do the math without it giving away too much)?

This could be an interesting opportunity. I’m a youth soccer coach and have become very popular in our area. So much so that a local magazine is going to publish an article on me next month. With a marketable look, is there any pathway for me to utilize this opportunity for lucrative marketing deals? Open to thoughts and ideas.

Why are people so caught up in job title? Literally people have turned down jobs paying 2x their salary because job title is lower. Who cares!!!

Not looking for the narrative arc of How I Built This or Masters of Scale. Instead, looking to uncover specific problems faced by companies that tried something new for the first time. What did they not see coming, how did they adapt and measure, etc.

What are your thoughts on this format?

Looking to start an app project and need a full stack developer who wants to also mentor a junior developer along the way. Any advice on where to look besides LinkedIn? Also, not looking for freelance, want the developer to be apart of the team as a business partner and leader.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project.
