Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve given years to public service too, and it’s disheartening to see how unstable things have become. We signed up to serve, not to constantly worry about job security. It’s like the rules keep changing on us mid-game. Hoping for some clarity soon.
Civil Service started going down the 'crapper' when Carter abolished, claiming it was obsolete, the Civil Service Commission. Ever since OPM came into existence there has been a growing by year objection to OPM, which is clearly, regardless, acting as an At Will Agency. Federal Manager's for years, under the CSC, made it clear they were not about to get 'cute' when a CSC complaint was filed, and then if it could get any worse, have the complaint proceed to an ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING. Under OPM any complaint is either trashed as soon as it gets in to anyone in OPM, to keep the complaint from being seen by any AJ's from looking at it. That or the Complaint is shredded as soon as it's filed, with OPM stalling any motion-to-proceed to run the clock out.
I agree. I have always worked most at state and federal agencies and was always less busy in private jobs. The responsibilities were enormous at state and county level and the disrespect of civil servants is despicable and unjust. I for one and most people respect the commitment and service of local, state and federal employees. This regime will pass. Stand tough! You are appreciated!
I agree! I’m done with this circus, 25 years underpaid and dedicating my entire life to this scam, I’m early retiring and getting another job because the cost of living is not getting any better.
Job security was supposed to be a perk that the public sector had over the private sector… making up for those goodies offered like candy at private firms like bonuses and higher compensation.
Agreed! Now there's uncertainty and instability everywhere.
