Has anyone else worked two programming roles at one time?
I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. To stay ahead of game I started to move forward in the interview process with another opportunity as an Application Software Programmer and just received notification that I got the position. I definitely could use the extra paycheck to help out with my financial obligations. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Applied 9/1 and on the applicant portal the status still says “in progress.” I got a great internal referral, but I’ve not reached out to the hiring manager. 😬 I know there were a few hundred applicants — what’s a realistic timeline and what could I say to the hiring manager if I reach out to them. Why are IT firms not following salary multipliers across all YOE?

Say for a particular tech skill, they will give 20lpa to someone with 4 to 5 YOE, but for someone with 10 YOE and same skill sets, the cieling is fixed at 35lpa. Why is YOE*4 not applicable here?
