2nd year analyst up for promotion to consultant .. want to switch to IB. What position should I target? (Analyst vs Associate)?

Currently I make a base of $63k/yr and $1k/mo in bonuses pre-tax. I manage a performance for a team of licensed insurance agents (service-based role in a direct business environment), maintain our business relationships, and support adhoc training needs. Is there anyone else in this type of role who is able to share how this compares to similar positions and your general location?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I interviewed with a top big law firm last week for a Senior Project Manager role. I felt fairly good and confident post the interviews. Sadly I was not given the offer. I remember the Director mentioned that I was over qualified for the position. I’m currently a Consultant… I’m guess I’m not sure how to take the “over qualified” response. Prior to the interviews, I felt I needed more experience …. Lol. Anyone else felt the same?

Worked so hard to get a tech exit with reasonable comp, but now that I got it, it feels weird to leave strat consulting. Consulting pays more in the longer term with much faster progression, but once in tech always in tech, more meaningful S&O work and better wlb (hopefully??)
