Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. Obviously, she is struggling with more than making good choices at school. Her parents are very kind and appreciative of all we do for their child, but they are also clearly struggling with this. Anyone ever been in a similar situation or have some advice on how we can best support the student?

Actually I am going through some tough times(going through a divorce), want to connect to EAP to discuss my mental health issues.
I had connected once and they say that the conversations are strictly confidential.
Just wanted to know do they really keeps stuff confidential or can they inform my Manager regarding the personal conversations.

For anyone in this bowl. How crucial is it for you to have a formal dining room separated from the kitchen? My son and daughter-in-law are buying a house for their future family and I'm trying to convince them a formal dining room looks better and makes things less chaotic in the kitchen, especially with kids. Am I out of touch? Or is it still important?

This school year has been very challenging to me. I’m a instructional aide,one-on-one, in a general education classroom. Teacher has never really made conversation with me, sometimes I force a ‘good morning ‘ from her. Her silence around me just makes me uncomfortable and not welcomed in her classroom. She has made comments towards my student, saying that he doesn’t need an aide, or that students don’t need ‘babysitter’s at school’. Has any aide experience this in classroom?

My husband said he would buy me a Rolex as a “push present” for our first child. I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Completed onsite interviews for the TAM role and recruiter gave me feedback that my technical depth wasn’t up to par for the role but my googleness/leadership and GCA interview feedback was stellar so they plan to propose me for Cloud PM roles instead. Recently I have completed probation in Accenture, and got offer from HCL, Is there any chance to revise the package? because I have completed only 6 months in Accenture, If I compare CTC of both there is huge difference it's round 10 lacs, HCL offering 60 per hike.

Hi all... my name is Jill. I am a guidance counselor at Syosset High School located in Long Island NY. (9-12). We are a highly competitive school district with college admissions being paramount.

Seriously considering a move to NYC. Any counselors in the area? Wanting a bit of insight into the hiring process! I hear it’s very competitive, but I wanna get a feel for if that means “basically impossible” or “it might take a bit longer than you think.”

Background: It’s my 3rd year as an elementary school counselor and I’d like to stick with elementary or middle. I have friends and family in NYC and Long Island and I’m looking for a change of scenery (and a pay increase, tbh).

A miracle happened! My principal says that we will not administer the ACT! We will actually be able to do our jobs!

I am in NC and my district is in person 2 days a week and remote 3 days a week with A on Mons and Tues, B Thurs and Frids, and group R fully remote. So when we test, we have 3 different groups 3 times the testing and not to mention the accommodations...
