That type of behavior has become increasingly common in business. It's just rude, and particularly so when you've had multiple interviews with someone. You may not owe them a job, but common courtesy says you owe them an answer, even if it's negative. It's so weird that ghosting people has become normalized.
How long has it been since you've last heard from them? I always follow up after 1 week, and then again after another week. After that, I'll leave it alone. But I'd send a couple solid follow-up emails if you haven't already.
I sent a thank you note directly after and followed up 5 days later. Both emails were opened but neither were responded to. Just sent one final follow up thanking them for their time and how I hope to work with them down the road. There just has to be a point where I call it quits on pursuing them, right?
I'm so sorry. I totally get that companies can't reach out to everyone, but if you get to that point in the process I think recruiters owe you at least an email saying you're not moving forward. It is simple decency.
