Please prioritize yours and your baby’s health first. If you don’t feel like doing it, don’t go.
100% find a way to skip it! When I was early pregnant I came down with the “flu” the night before and no one cared
I second this.
Canceled my trip. My boss was totally fine with it, as he knew I was doing IVF. Feeling relieved, but also still very much 🤢
Can your doctor give you medicine for nausea? I took the kind that’s safe for pregnancy, and it was the only way I got through my first trimester.
Otherwise, like others said, can you “get sick” and skip or dial in virtually?
Btw - congrats!
Congrats! Being sick is a good sign (despite being miserable). If at all possible I would plead illness. Otherwise, start experimenting to see what helps. Ginger candy and goldfish were my go to.
Tell them you're sick and can't attend. If they press, say you're vomiting and can't keep anything down so you won't be attending.
I found peppermint candies really helped quell the nausea. 8-10 weeks were the worst the things got better once I stopped the progesterone shots and got to the end of my first trimester. Hang in there and congratulations!
I HATE the shots, the amount of tired I feel the day I do them is insane
I haven’t even had my first ultrasound yet, but that’s what I was going to ask once there. I can email my nurse and see if that’s an option. I wasn’t expecting to feel this sick so early
