My post is for a lot of folks here who complain about managers not budging to negotiations and not offering package ,what you are expecting.I have one thing to say, there are lot of ibm employees who moved to kyndryl. Inspite of lot of contributions they are earning meagre salary. Now do you expect these people to hire you for more package most of time the package you are demanding is more than what these managers draw. So pls do not look at kyndryl as any other startup.Thanks.

If she already talked to her manager and they said no, that's pretty much the end of the story. She can try asking again or going above them, but that usually doesn't work. Realistically, she either accepts it and stays or starts looking for something else. Finding a job in this market is not easy, so she's probably going to be stuck feeling underpaid for a while.

Yeah, you're right, that "no" from the manager is usually the brick wall. Going over their head almost always poisons the relationship, and asking again too soon just comes off as nagging. It's brutal because she knows her worth, but the company's basically saying "we're fine with you being underpaid until you leave." The market's rough right now, so jumping ship isn't trivial; a lot of people are quietly applying for months without much traction. She's probably looking at a stretch of grinding it out while feeling resentful, which sucks.
Almost positive that everyone else got a bump isn’t a good feeling, but there is also no way to know for sure unless they are cross-examining paychecks. Thinking everyone else but you is getting something isn’t a place I’d want to stay.
That is very true. A hard feeling to come back from, and I’d say probably something that has been going on for a while.

That sounds really frustrating! If I were in her shoes, I’d definitely consider discussing it with HR for more clarity. If nothing changes, I might start looking for other opportunities. It's tough but sometimes necessary!
