A lot of my coding process is driven by self-loathing - like, how much of an idiot am I if I can't figure this thing out? It's definitely effective. I'm not sure if it's healthy.

That's the stressful part. No thank you.

To each his/her own! Whatever gets you going..

In reality.. what we do is not hard. It’s no rocket science!

That's why I feel this way! Because it's not hard.

Self-loathing motivates my every action

You just put into words how I feel. Thank you

I used to see people who didn't care about current events or politics as intellectually lazy and irresponsible.

However, I feel burnt out on the constant stream of divisive bickering and toxicity.

It feels like ideas don't matter and pragmatism has become a dirty word for both sides.

For the first time in my life, I don't want to know what's happening in the world and I don't care who wins.

Apathy feels good right now.

What would you choose, Big 4 or T2 firms like GT or BDO?

I have been in Deloitte since ever and wanted to consider moving to other firms.
Does it necessarily have to be another Big4?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of moving to a Tier 2 firm?

Would be really helpful if someone who has seen both sides could elaborate in terms of difference in culture, pay, work life balance, etc.

Anyone know of an alternative to StackOverflow for asking tech questions? The community is super toxic and I'm looking for a place I can casually ask questions that might seem dumb without being hrangued for not providing an essay proof of the research I've already done. Or some sort of buddy system where I can ping a person of relevant experience those questions. It's better to poke someone's brain for a minute than to spin in circles reading docs/dead end articles sometimes.

Hi! Does anyone know what kind of knowledge is needed to crack the Data Scientist interview at Google?

I'm currently working in Marketing Analytics (primarily using SQL and a bit of pyspark). Apart from mastering SQL, I wanted to know from people working at Google what does it take to get there as a Data Scientist? (I'm very interested in Strategy Ops)

I plan to another 6-8 months in preparation and upskilling myself before I even apply.
Any help and guidance is appreciated! Thanks :)
