Thoughts from PE guys/girls?

I’ve been working as a mortgage professional for over 3 years now and have found it unfulfilling and draining, even with the industry where it’s currently at. Would returning to school to pursue an MBA or other masters degree afford me the opportunity to make a switch to PE? Have had a few friends in PE and some in consulting say the same.
