How are hours in CMAAS?
I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

I am a Charlotte native and I think it's doing a terrible job of growing. It's become a pretty expensive city for what it is, and the transit options are terrible.
I think that Charlotte is reasonably priced for what it has to offer. I've seen pretty big loft style apartments for just $1800 for a 1BR. Those would go for nearly 3 or 4 thousand in LA or NY
Without the growth, wouldn’t Charlotte go stale and lack opportunity?
I was born in Charlotte and lived there in my late 20s. It feels like the Queen City has started to lose her charm during the past 5-10 years. SMH
C1 there are none….
Right, just because charlotte is growing doesn’t mean it’s anywhere close to nyc in terms of costs or overall busyness. OP is whining about nothing
I agree. I'm a Charlotte native and I feel like we should have rent caps. No need for us to pay double the price because others are moving in
So you’re saying to throw out basic supply and demand economics because you don’t want to spend more rent. Mecklenburg county’s property tax assessment skyrocketed property values, meaning property taxes are much higher for everyone, property insurance also skyrocketed this year due to inflation.
I moved here from an upper west side of NY, 5 story walk up (no elevator, no washer or dryer in the building, no dishwasher, my kitchen was a $50 portable burner) paying $1550 per month for a closet sized studio. I moved to an uptown apartment 1br with a rooftop pool and all the luxury amenities I can ask for for about $1100 per month. Today to rent the apartment is $1600 per month.
I say this to put thing in perspective because many renters have no idea about ownership costs, landlords are not just raising the rent for greed. I’m still renting but I work professionally in the real estate and mortgage industry.
I've been in Charlotte for 10 years and it has transformed quite rapidly. I do like the updates but I know it's coming at a cost
Honestly, I love it...I think Charlotte's strength comes in as it grows, and it's nice to see the diversity
It’s continuing to grow. Might want to think about moving because it’s not slowing down.
Pro
As someone working in both commercial and residential real estate professionally as a broker and also in commercial real estate mortgage lending, charlotte is not going to slow down anytime soon. After we get through the pending recession, there’s an enormous amount of dry investor capital itching to be deployed into the markets. Anyone who doesn’t like how fast charlotte is growing should move to a slower growing place like the triad (Greensboro/ Winston Salem).
Moved to Charlotte from Winston-Salem after living there for 7 years. Wouldn’t wish that move on my worst enemy. Lol
I’d recommend Richmond Va.
NYC has 18 million people. Charlotte has 2 million. Stop crying about nothing.
I just moved here from Atlanta, so I know what you mean I watched Atlanta turn from a quaint southern city to a mecca in just six years
I'm a transplant so I'm afraid I'm apart of the problem lo Sorry, I moved here for work. I'm not sure how it was before but I really like it
I wish I could afford to live in NYC. You can get alot more house for your money here.
I'm a Brooklyn native who's lived in CLT for 14 years. The growth isn't substantial when you realize infrastructure, public transportation, expanded opportunities, salaries, etc. haven't kept up. Charlotte is never going to be a "great" city, only one that's a slightly better option than some of the larger ones.
Nope it’s totally not! That’s what im saying!
