They want me to submit independent expert letters from people who can talk about the significance of my work to the Financial & Management field and US interest, from non-familiar persons. I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

If I have two 401ks (current job and previous job), does the 19k limit apply to both of them together or 19k each?

If I were to rollover a pension lump sum into one of those 401ks, is counted towards the $19k limit? Or is rollover classified differently and I could still continue to contribute to my current 401k?

Anyone here struggle with drinking enough water every day? Growing up, I drank a lot of soda and fruit juices but since 2020, I’ve been trying to be one of those people who always has a water bottle. They say you drink some when you first wake up but I never have a taste for it and then never remember to start drinking until about noon.

What are your best tools for self-motivation at work? There are days when it takes a huge amount of effort for me to get started and in the groove and I'm looking for ways to make work days easier.

My boss is always making last minute changes to my schedule. Adding shifts or asking me to cover for other people. Any advice on how to handle this? I want to be a team player but the last minute changes stress me out.

So I'm fairly new to the restaurant business; only in like 4 years (only two concepts). Both have been pure chaos that causes so much stress and anxiety. Is this industry wide or am I just unlucky with the 2 concepts I've experienced so far?

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

I had quite the day the other day.
