A non-black coworker felt the need to ask me if my hair was all mine or fake. Is this an HR issue? We’ve already had unconscious bias training that notes not to comment on “afro”, braid, twists (which i had), or other ethnic hair styles. Just not sure if I’m being too “sensitive.”

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). I’ve been asked by a client to coach their team on how to structure and write scripts for their corporate event content (e.g. panel discussions). I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? Or would it usually be something a content or speech writer would do?
Either way, I’m happy to add the additional skill to my CV 😅

I understand this might sound a little snobby but I'm not trying for it to come off that way. I've been around impressive people throughout my adult life. T-14 and big law have placed me in the company of some really accomplished individuals. It likely skewed the bar in terms of what I find as impressive.

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it.
