A partner put me in charge of a specific project that I ran independently. Things were going well. The client began asking me to do more and more, including revamping their system and internal trainings. The client even gave me a litigation matter. Suddenly, the partner became more involved. I was removed from meetings concerning the revamping, my trainings were cancelled, and he started micromanaging. He has now sidelined me from the project and trash talked me to the client. I am very upset.

I have a wee crush on one of the partners in my firm and I thought he liked me too, but neither of us did anything about it (which is entirely appropriate). That was all pre-Rona. Now I’m leaving the firm and pursuing another opportunity and staying in the same city. Since he’ll no longer be my boss, is there a way to find out if my feeling was correct? How should I go about this? (Especially given Rona?)

i have joined accenture in sep 2021 , and i am in a development project in .net technology. But since i was from non cs/it background i am facing lot of difficulty in coding and more over there is only me who is given complete .net work , there is no team for .net in our project, i am the only one and now i am not finding interest in coding and also everyday i am under pressure . I've that the COE team is supposed to guide TCS employees on client end. However, I've also heard that as they do not generate any profits, TCS moves them to client side as soon as possible.

Just got offered to join potential project that would relocate me to LA for 3-4 months for onsite work. Their office is downtown, I’m single, 29 have the flexibility in lifestyle for this kind of move. Is it worth coming to LA rn? I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Now I still am the site supervisor on projects but I’m also doing all the construction manger duties on the project as well. Essentially 2 jobs for one salary. We have yearly reviews in December but no talks of raise have been discussed. Any help on approaching this to my boss?

People who don’t submit their time daily, how do you remember what you did and for how long? I’ve always just submitted each timer as soon as I finish a task—“call with x re y” really doesn’t take that long even if I’m busy, and if I don’t do it immediately I’ll forget all those little I did in the morning by the time I go to bed. No shade at all to those with different systems, just genuinely curious because I see a lot about catching up at month end on here and I have no idea how that works??

Ok, I’m preaching to the choir here, but I’m a mid-level lateral, and I get most of my work now from an absolutely toxic partner that I am basically assigned to (firm is very siloed and partner doesn’t like sharing associates). I am getting to the point where I don’t take the tirades personally, but the obvious lack of good leadership leaves me incredibly unmotivated. But the learned helplessness also means that I procrastinate—like right now! Send help!
