You have to reserve space in the ACN office in my city. I’ve probably been there once since orientation lol. Is your house noisy? I’d much rather work from my house than from the ACN office
Just can't focus at home. I work better in office or library setting.. but it's a burden to pack stuff up and go/out of library for calls.
Deloitte has pretty efficient hoteling, managed through a mobile app. You can book your spot day before heading into the office if you’d rather work “for free” at the office.
Parking/commuting is expensive and therefore a good reason to WFH, if at all possible. I do enjoy working in the office and getting all those ‘coffee chats’ in 😜.
Sad to say, but I'm tired of working from home/coffee shops or having to pay out of pocket for co-working spaces... This is the reason alone why I'm considering of looking elsewhere. I mean I love being a consultant ...just want a place to work that's not home ..and I shouldn't have to pay for it myself.
The downside is most Deloitte offices are in the middle of big cities so parking will be expensive. But you can also pretty much reserve a spot in any city :)
The vast major of consultants across all consulting firms do not have this, unless you're aligned to an internal corporate function or something similar
We do hoteling and we don’t have to pay for our space. (Yikes! Are you in a WeWork type space?) If you’re in the office so much that you need your own personal workspace then hopefully you’re internal like HR or on a remote project assignment. I’m currently on the latter and I choose to work from home.
You do have a desk when you work remote. It’s called your bed
